Fender Reveals MLB Themed Guitars

Collectively, sports and music probably make up most of the entertainment the average American consumes nowadays. Think about it: even if you’re watching TV, there’s a pretty high chance you’re watching sports, and no matter what you’re watching, it’ll have music periodically playing. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, then, that crossovers between these two industries happen all the time. Typically, this takes the form of a musician playing a sporting event, but Fender recently announced a new venue of cooperation between them and the Major League Baseball organization. The two groups have come together to release a line of guitar featuring the logos and custom imagery from each of the MLB teams across the country. There’s also a guitar celebrating the recent All Star game in Minnesota.

The guitars, which are all Stratocasters, are more or less your standard Strat. They’ve got alder bodies, maple necks, and a trio of single coil pickups. However, you can be sure that despite the lack of hardware differences, these guitars are going to sell quick. These are definite collectors items, so if you want a new one straight from the factory, you’ll need to get soon after they go on sale on March 31st. Otherwise, you’ll have to settle for a used version of one of these unique guitars.
