Foo Fighters On Letterman All Week Long

Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters have been busy.  I’m sure that anyone who is a fan of the band is aware that they have a new album coming out in November.  If you haven’t been keeping up to date on the latest Foo news then check this out.

The Foo Fighters are getting ready to release Sonic Highways.

The band didn’t just go into the studio and start recording tracks.  They decided to make things interesting by recording in some of the biggest musical cities across the country.  Sounds like a lot of work but also an incredible idea that could lead to some really interesting music.  Also of note is that this isn’t just going to be an album.  They filmed the entire process for an 8 part HBO series “Sonic Highways’ which is also the title of the album.

Grohl and fellow bandmates were on David Letterman on Monday to perform and Dave was also one of Letterman’s interview guests.  He explained the concept and writing process for the album.  If you didn’t catch the interview last night you can watch part of it here:

After the interview Dave Grohl joined the rest of the band and special guest Zac Brown for a performance of Black Sabbath’s War Pigs. Watch it below and stay tuned to HBO for Sonic Highways. Also, the Foo Fighters will be the musical guest each night this week on Letterman so set those DVR’s.
