New Michael Jackson Song Leaks

Posted 12 Apr 2014 in Artist News

It was certainly a sad day for the world when the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, passed away. Many thought erroneously thought this would be the end of new releases from the man. After all, when you find yourself buried under six feet of dirt, recording a new hit single isn’t really on your mind. What these people forgot, however, is that posthumously releasing previously unheard of tracks is both a thing that exists and makes people money. For this reason, one shouldn’t be too surprised that an entire album worth of MJ songs, last known going by the name of Xscape, is set to be released sometime soon. In fact, people are already predicting this to be one of the biggest releases this year.

Anyways, as it so often happens these days, the project was unable to keep a hold on all of their tracks. So far, only the title track is available, but soon enough we’re sure a few others will crop up. After all, this is the second (and presumably last) posthumous Michael Jackson release, and the first one kind of sucked. From what we’ve heard, Xscape was recorded in the early 2000’s, which is hardly surprising considering the attitude of the track. However, the funk and groove that made Michael the legend he that he is was still preserved, and for that reason we’ll at least give the album one more listen.
