Paul Stanley Accuses Former KISS Members of Anti-Semitism

Man, oh man. This KISS story just keeps getting juicier and juicier. To recap, we’ve already told you about how only the original incarnation of KISS is being allowed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which naturally caused enough controversy in the media and within the band to lead to the cancellation of their Hall of Fame inception performance. This is due primarily to the fact that the Hall of Fame only wishes to include the original members of KISS into the band; two of whom (Ace Frehley and Peter Criss) are no longer with the band.

In all, this story seems to be a horrible PR event for the band, and Frehley and Criss have both been quite vocal about their contempt of Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. Unfortunately for the band (but hilariously for us), these relationships appear to have only worsened with the release of Paul Stanley’s new autobiography, Face the Music: A Life Exposed. In his writings, Stanley outright accuses Frehley and Criss (the latter of which was particularly focused on) of being jealous of Stanley and Simmons hard working ethic and money. Criss and Frehley apparently attributed this to their Jewish beliefs. Furthermore, Stanley goes on to point out that he believes that Simmons takes too much credit for the band’s success. Even before this book was coming out, KISS was floating in a pretty rough sea, but Stanley’s new memoirs are sure to shake the boat up even more.
