Muse has always been one of those bands that you either really love or cannot stand the sound of. For whatever reason, their music just has a polarizing effect amongst the rock community. Seeing as there will always exist a hardcore legion of rabid Muse fans, it shouldn’t be too surprising to learn that a petition has been formed demanding Muse play a show on their 20th anniversary. Sounds reasonable, no? Well, the petition goes on further, stating that Muse needs to play in Teignmouth (the band’s hometown) or a small venue in London. The performance needs to be extremely intricate and entirely devoid of an expensive production budget.

Muse 20 Year Reunion

So far, no official word has been released as to whether or not Muse has agreed to play this show, but honestly we hope they do. It seems like the proper way to celebrate the band’s heritage, and it certainly would be a classy move for them to return to their roots. In the meantime, however, you can catch the band at their Coachella performance on April 19th. Furthermore, the band is set to record a new studio album, so be on the lookout for more Muse related news in the future.
