Phish NYE After Party: Roosevelt Collier’s Jimi Meets Funk!

Posted 10 Dec 2014 in Music, News, Performance

If spending New Year’s Eve (and the 3 nights after) with Phish isn’t enough for you then you will have plenty of options to keep the party going late into the night.  One of these options is to check out Roosevelt Collier’s Jimi Meets Funk.  This is going to be a really fun experience if you can get your hands on tickets to the show at Will Call on January 3rd in Miami.  Roosevelt Collier’s Jimi Meets Funk will be performing (you guessed it) the music of Jimi Hendrix late into the night and probably into the early morning hours.  So if you need to see some more incredible music after a few hours of Phish then make sure you have plenty of energy left to hit up this show.

Also just announced is that Adam Deitch from Lettuce and Break Science will be sitting in on the drums.  Originally scheduled to pound the skins (that sounds dirty) was Nikki Glaspie but Deitch was tapped due to a scheduling issue.  No worries because if you haven’t heard Lettuce or Break Science, Adam is a MONSTER on the drums…and if you haven’t heard either of his bands before you should absolutely check them out as soon as you finish reading this article.
