Soundgarden to Play 2014 iTunes Festival

Perhaps as an effort to show its involvement in the music scene (or just as another way to make money), each year Apple puts on the iTunes festival. It always draws some pretty large crowds, as the festival in its original incarnation lasts a little over a month. It typically takes place in London, but this year, the festival has announced that the festivities will be held in Austin alongside the SXSW festival. Most exciting of all, however, is the fact that grunge rock masters Soundgarden have been confirmed as the headliner. Even more exciting than that, though, is the fact that Soundgarden has announced they will be playing their 1994 classic album Superunknown in its entirety. Wow, that’s a lot of excitement!

In addition to Soundgarden, Imagine Dragons, Coldplay, Pitbull, Willie Nelson, and Keith Urban have all been announced as headliners. Currently, there’s still one headliner left unannounced, but as soon as they make it publicly known, we’ll be the first to let you know. Until then, we can only be excited about the lineup at hand, and would love to hear your thoughts on this stellar lineup.
