Gibson Guitars Artist Model Series

Ok so maybe this isn’t ‘technically’ guitar news but I liked it and I’m writing this article so there you have it.  I was browsing Gibson’s website and got stuck looking at the Gibson Guitar: Artist Model Series.  Obviously everyone pretty much knows a Gibson on sight.  It’s a classic line of Guitars and I was just looking through all the different models.  There are so many different models that I wanted but I would have to sell everything I…

Slash finally came home to Stoke-on-Trent to play his first gig in the city where he lived as a young boy. Tickets were hard to come by. When they went on sale, all 1,500 were snapped up in less than two hours and the line/queue, included fans from the USA and Japan, three generations of one family, and a heavily pregnant woman who said she was hoping the guitar playing would induce birth. “I’ve been wanting to do this for…

Slash estimates that he owns at least 100 guitars and now plans to sell off 14 of them, including the Guild acoustic, which he used to record the single ‘Patience’. He decided to hold the sale because a recent house move made him realise he has a “bad habit of collecting stuff that I don’t necessarily use”. Along with the guitars Slash will also sell two of his trademark top hats and a selection of jackets, T-shirts, jewellery and a…

According to his claim, Rose licensed Welcome to the Jungle to Guitar Hero III on the condition that any reference to the departed guitarist or his new band, Velvet Revolver, would be omitted. But…
