Christopher Lee’s Metal Single Gets Charted

Remember a couple weeks ago when we informed you about actor Christopher Lee’s death metal Christmas cover? No? It was named “Jingle Hell”? Really? Well if you really don’t remember that, here’s a link to that post, but I digress. That song, which you may or may not have heard of, has landed a spot on the Billboard Hot Sales Singles charts. Pretty impressive for a 91 year old, no?

Christopher Lee

So just how high did this song chart? It’s currently sitting at the number 22 slot. That’s pretty high, considering his competition includes those damned juggernauts of One Direction. Seriously, how does those guys do it? I don’t even get it. There’s a 71 year age gap there. There has to be some kind of record.

Anyways, Lee did for certain set a record for being the oldest musician to ever release a metal single. The B-side of this single is titled “My Way”, and despite not being a Christmas tune, it is a cover of a Frank Sinatra song. That means you should definitely take the time to check it out.
