A 57-year-old man was arrested after authorities say he punched his cousin in the face, then struck him in the head with a guitar in Naples Monday. Russell Craig Slusser, of Turlock, Ca., was taken to the Naples Jail Center on a charge of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. A 21-year-old Oswego man has been indicted for allegedly supplying the heroin that led to a Crystal Lake man’s death. Mark Seranella, of the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive, was indicted by a McHenry County grand jury Thursday on drug-induced homicide charges in the 2007 death of Ryan Maxwell. Police have arrested a man suspected of stealing nine guitars from a Desert Hot Springs home, but two of the guitars are still missing, police said Thursday. According to Desert Hot Springs police, Michael Rutledge, 19, pried open a metal security door on a home in Desert View Avenue while the resident was at work on May 17 and took the guitars, worth thousands of dollars. Two persons were bound over to the grand jury on charges of breaking into a church and stealing musical equipment. Ashley Nelson, 20, and Daniel Vance, 20, both of Dingess, are charged by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department with breaking into the Calvary Freewill Baptist Church at Dingess.
