Billy Corgin is Working on New Pumpkins Tunes

There was a day, long, long ago, when grunge rock icon Billy Corgin sported an impressive set of locks. Since then, Corgin’s hair evaporated, but whatever his vision of his band, the Smashing Pumpkins, remains as strong as ever.

For this reason, Corgin has announced the impending release of another new Pumpkins release. If you, like many fans, have grown weary of the band’s recent releases, this new effort might actually be something to pay attention to. Corgin has stated that he thinks the band’s recent direction has been a little bit too “nicey nice”, and that this upcoming release will see the band returning to their rawer roots.

While this all sounds fine and dandy, there has been no official news related to this release, and in fact all we really know is that Corgin is still deep in the writing process. However, this is enough for fans to start speculating on what the upcoming tunes might sound like.
