Black Sabbath Hit The Road

Posted 01 Nov 2012 in News, Performance

Its been quite some time since Black Sabbath headed down under.  That is all about to end.  After a 40 year hiatus from touring in Australia Black Sabbath are heading out on the road. I can see it now.  A crowd of 40-50 year olds rocking to their favorite Sabbath Songs.  Tony Iommi has finished his treatment for cancer and the band appear ready to rock some serious crowds.

The dates for the Australian tour are listed below.  But wait…there’s more.  Black Sabbath have also confirmed that they will be playing the Ozzfest event in Japan.  Slipknot will be the first night headliners and Black Sabbath will own the second night headlining spot.

Last but not least is the upcoming release of the new Black Sabbath album which is produced by the legend Rick Rubin. The album is scheduled for an April 2013 release.

Black Sabbath Australian Tour Dates

04/25 – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
04/27 – Allphones Arena, Sydney
04/01 – Rod Laver, Melbourne
04/04 – Perth Arena, Perth

You can pick up tickets for the Australian leg of the tour on Thursday November 8th.  If you are a Live Nation member you can get in on an early pre-sale beginning Friday November 2 – Monday November 5th at 5 p.m.
