A husband was in jail Tuesday night after allegedly beating his wife with a guitar and slicing her with a knife after he came home to find her in bed with another man, according to a Bradenton Police report. Willie J. Adams
was arrested and faces a charge of aggravated battery.

According to the authorities, Adams came home early to find the door to his home locked. He did not have a key to the residence with him. After knocking and yelling repeatedly, he kicked the door down. When Adams discovered the couple, he began hitting his wife and the man. He grabbed a guitar and struck his wife in the head. He then grabbed a steak knife from the kitchen and began chasing them both, the report stated. As he was going after the other man, his wife grabbed his arm to try and get him away. He accidently sliced her arm causing a three and half inch laceration, according to authorities. When police arrived, they found blood all over the floor.

His wife said she did not wish to press charges. She was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital and treated for her injuries, according to the report.

The other man, whose identity was not known, left before police arrived on scene.
