Metallica to Play Glastonbury

Friends, festival season is fully upon us, and we couldn’t be happier! Not only are events starting to happen, but lineups are being finalized and schedules being released.

There’s a ton of shows we want to catch this summer, but there is one in particular that stuck out to us as a fantastic festival: Glastonbury, the five day music festival in Somerset, England. The festival has been going on for 44 years and seen a ton of great acts, but this year will break new grounds, as it’s the first time a metal act has headlined the festival.

That metal act, of course, is Metallica, whom will share the headlining position with Kasabian and Arcade Fire. In addition, fans can watch the likes of Skrillex, Mogwai, and Massive Attack.

All in all, this is a rather interesting festival to play for a metal act, but that doesn’t mean that Metallica won’t kill it like always. We’re excited to see how they do at this festival, which is just one of many stops they’ll be making during their summer circuit.
