Police arrest guitar-wielding liquor thief

A man with a guitar who tried to steal alcohol today from a liquor store in Moreno Valley was taken into custody.

At 3:21 p.m., the man tried to leave a Rite Aid with bottles of alcohol. He briefly wrestled with the store manager before fleeing, but the manager and a clerk followed the man and called sheriff’s deputies, who had the suspect in custody, according to the sheriff’s department.
