In a recent article about the upcoming Motorhead album, we mentioned that frontman Lemmy’s failing health might be a factor preventing any more new material. Unfortunately, this turned out to be true far earlier than we anticipated. Much to the dismay of fans across Europe, Motorhead has announced a postponement of their upcoming tour dates. Although the exact replacement dates have yet to be announced, the Motorhead website indicates that the new dates for this tour will be in February.

Despite the cancellations being because of Lemmy’s health, the frontman remained optimistic as ever, even noting that his health is getting better each day. The tour was built to support Motorheard’s most recent studio effort, Aftershock. The album dropped on October 21st, with Motorhead’s first tour dates only a few days after the release of the album.
