Only Original KISS Lineup Allowed into Rock Hall of Fame

For whatever reason, being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, is a pretty big deal to a lot of older acts. Sure, it’s an honor to be included as a prominent member of rock’s history, but the truth is that after your induction concert, few people really care whether or not you’ve made it into the Hall.

However, when the officials behind the Hall of Fame do something borderline ridiculous to a band as large as KISS, the media doesn’t hesitate to eat it up, and for that reason everyone has been raving about the recent announcement that only the classic members of KISS’s lineup will be allowed in the hall. This leaves out Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, both of whom have had quite an impact on the current incarnation of KISS. KISS has also had several other members over the years who will not be honored.

This has sparked massive criticism among the rock community, most of which has been led by KISS themselves. However, Rock Hall CEO Joel Peresman has made it clear that the institution has no plans to change their stance in the near future.
